I was in central Pennsylvania,near Gettysburg, attending a peach festival. Afterwards, I was looking for a place to eat. A quick search found Olivia's Mediterranean Cuisine nearby. What a fantastic find! Olivia's has amazing food and great ambience.

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood
Jimmy's Famous Seafood is a Baltimore institution. They are well known for their seafood, and I had seen their food trucks, but what brought them to my attention was their charity work during the pandemic. I decided I had to eat at their restaurant. A recent flight into Baltimore offered me the opportunity. Jimmy's Famous Seafood certainly lives up to its reputation, as the seafood ranks among the best I have had.

Driving through northern Pennsylvania, I was looking for a place to eat lunch. On the main street in Mansfield, I saw a coffee shop that looked a little bland on the outside. I decided to peek inside. As soon as I walked in, I knew Night and Day Coffee Cafe was the right place.
Red Fox Creamery
Early last winter, I was on a road trip to Winchester, Virginia. I decided to explore its main street, North Loudoun St, which has been made into a scenic pedestrian thoroughfare. Among the many restaurants and shops, one place stood out from the rest. An old fashioned ice cream parlor called Red Fox Creamery.

When researching sub shops in central, Pennsylvania, one in Newberry kept popping up. I decided I had to stop there and give it a try. Family owned and operated for over 50 years, Mileto's Sub Shop exceeds its reputation.
Iron Rooster
I was in Annapolis for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Most of the bars were packed, but I found one that could seat me. Normally it is a pretty popular place, but I had beaten the dinner rush. That was fortunate, as the Iron Rooster has great food and superb service.
Eclipse Goodies
April 8, 2024 was the first time in almost a century since Buffalo, New York experienced a total eclipse. And the next totality in Buffalo will not happen until 2144. For such as special event, the whole city celebrated. Including the food industry.

I was in central Virginia doing some sightseeing. Afterwards, I was looking for a place to have dinner. Following a friends suggestion, I detoured to Charlottesville and explored their main street. The place that caught my eye was Marco & Luca Dumplings and it is fantastic!

Mobile, the Port City! It is Alabama's oldest city. First settled by the French in 1702, Mobile has passed through English, Spanish, and now American hands. It is full of history and southern hospitality. And many great places to dine.
Doshier’s Donuts
On a road trip in Virginia while looking for a place to eat breakfast, I passed a road side sign advertising sandwiches and donuts. I turned around as soon as I could and found the place, the store front of Doshier's Donuts. Much to my delight, everything there is made fresh. Even the donuts, which are fried to order!
