After biking along the Erie Canal on a hot summer day, nothing hits the spot like ice cream. Fortunately, in Pendleton, New York, right next to the trail, is such a spot: Uncle G's Ice Cream.

I first encountered Toby's Homemade Ice Cream in 2021, when they had a Cicada themed special. A small regional chain, they only have a few locations in Virginia. I enjoyed their ice cream well enough that when I was recently in the area, I found a nearby Toby's. As I remembered, Toby's Ice Cream is among the best in the region.
