Ben's Chili Bowl is the most iconic of all the restaurants in DC. So when it reopened after 10 months of remodeling, it is news. So much so that the mayor DC proclaimed the reopening day, May 1st, as Ben's Chili Bowl Day.

I was meeting a relative for breakfast and was looking for a good place to eat. Near Niagara Falls, in the town of Wheatfield, New York I found the perfect spot. A baseball themed diner that serves terrific food: The Club House.

I've driven passed it for many years but have never stopped there. This year, I happened to be passing by around dinner time so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did as I quickly found out that the Ranch House Restaurant is the best family style diner on Route 15!
