I first wrote about Questa Lasagna back in 2018. An Italian restaurant in Mount Morris, New York, it makes fresh pasta every day. Over the years, I’ve occasionally returned there when I was able and it has never disappointed. Recently, I had a Cannoli cheesecake that was so good I had to write about it.

Quest Lasagna is located on Main Street in the village of Mount Morris in the western part of New York State. It opened in 2010 and has been serving fresh, hand made pasta the entire time.

While pasta is the center of the menu, they also have great desserts. Recently, I had a Cannoli Cheesecake that was out of this world. The crust was rich and buttery. The filling was rich and creamy, with a texture and flavor (cinnamon?) that gives the taste of a cannoli.

The cake was topped with a fudge sauce, contrasting with the richness of the filling. Accompaniments were fresh whip cream and two pieces of pralines. But my favorite part was a chocolate layer between the cake and the crust, giving a deep chocolate flavor. Absolutely divine!

The rest of my meal

In case you are interested, here is what I had for the rest of my meal. I started with a salad. It was a garden salad with mixed greens and vegetables. What makes it noteworthy is the creamy Italian dressing. All of their dressings are made in house, and it made the salad great. For my main course, I had a Conchiglie pasta dish with sausage and butternut squash, all in a light cream sauce. I would have never of thought of putting butternut in a past dish, but it was a fantastic combination.
