I was traveling for the holidays and found myself in Mansfield Pennsylvania around dinner time. Searching for a local restaurant, I found Yorkholo Brewing Company. It's a great pub. I love the beer selection and the colorful atmosphere.

French Pub
After doing some Christmas caroling, my friends and I had lunch at French Pub together, a favorite restaurant of one of the group. French Pub is a sports bar in the suburbs of Buffalo that my friend has been going to since the 90s. When asked for a dish recommendation, he said everything on the menu. Based on my experience, he was not exaggerating.
Borough Market – London
On a recent trip, I had a stopover in London. Looking for a place to eat, I settled on Borough Market. At the market I found over a dozen places serving food, all looking fantastic.
Maryland Ice Cream Trail – Northeast MD
Continuing my quest to visit all the farms on the Maryland Ice Cream Trail, I traveled north of Baltimore The trail is an initiative of the Maryland Department of Agriculture to promote local family owned and operated dairy farms. There are four farms on the trail in the northeast, serving homemade ice cream with the high quality that I expect from places on the trail.

Il Pizzico – Ristorante Italiano
For years a friend has been raving about an Italian restaurant in Rockville MD, saying it has become his go to place for date nights with his wife. Recently, I was at a nearby Marriott attending a convention. Being just a few miles away gave me the opportunity to dine at Il Pizzico. It is every bit as good as my friend said.
Masala Street Indian Eatery
I love Indian food and have it quite often. But I can't say that I have had Indian street food before. I was in Georgetown for an event and was looking for a place to eat after. When I saw Masala Street, I knew I had to try it. I'm glad I did, as the food is unique and delicious.
Lickity Split ice cream
This summer an ice cream food truck started appearing at the College Park Farmers Market. Featuring home made, small batch ice cream, Lickity Split has quickly become one of my favorite ice creams.
Skipjack’s Crab House
On a recent Friday evening I was in Baltimore for an event, but it got canceled because of a thunderstorm. Needing someplace to eat, I started searching. Eventually I found Skipjack's Restaurant and Sport's Bar in northern Baltimore. They have the best crab cakes I've ever had.
Mandalay Reopens
One of my favorite restaurants, Mandalay Restaurant had closed during COVID. But this past week, it reopened for business. For now, they just have take out. Except for Aug 13-14, when there were special lunch and dinner buffets. I went to the very first seating.
